김뜻돌 Meaningful Stone

얼터너티브 록, 슈게이징, 포크, 뉴메탈 등 장르를 넘나들며 내면과 인간 무의식을 탐구하는 대한민국의 싱어송라이터 김뜻돌. 2020년 첫 정규 앨범 <꿈에서 걸려온 전화>를 발표하며 본격적인 활동을 시작했고, 2021년 제18회 한국대중음악상에서 ‘올해의 신인’으로 선정되며 주목받았다. 2021년 발매한 EP <COBALT>에서는 실험적이고 모험적인 음악적 태도를 보여주었으며, 2023년 SXSW 시드니를 시작으로 호주, 대만, 필리핀, 홍콩 등에서 페스티벌 및 단독 공연을 펼치며 글로벌 아티스트로 도약했다. 뿐만 아니라, 장건재 감독의 영화 <한국이 싫어서>에 출연하며 제28회 부산국제영화제 개막식에 초청되는 등 배우로서도 성공적인 데뷔를 마쳤다. 2024년 발표한 정규 2집 <천사 인터뷰>는 명상 속에서 천사와 나눈 이야기를 담아낸 작품으로, 2025년 한국대중음악상 최우수 모던록 음반 부문에 노미네이트되었다.

Meaningful Stone is a South Korean singer-songwriter representing Gen Z, exploring the inner self and the human unconscious through alternative rock, shoegaze, folk, and nu-metal. She debuted in 2020 with her first full-length album, <A Call from My Dream>, and was named "Rookie of the Year" at the 18th Korean Music Awards. Her 2021 EP <COBALT> reflects her progressive and adventurous musical style. In 2023, she expanded globally, performing at festivals and solo concerts in Australia, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Hong Kong, starting with SXSW in Sydney. She also made her acting debut in Jang Geon-jae’s film <Because I Hate Korea>, which premiered at the 28th Busan International Film Festival. Her second album, <Angel Interview> (2024), captures conversations with angels during meditation. In 2025, it was nominated for Best Modern Rock Album at the Korean Music Awards.
