한국 펑크와 소울의 전설로 불리우는 사랑과 평화. 1978년 1집 <한동안 뜸했었지>를 발표하며 데뷔한 이후 ‘장미’, ‘얘기할 수 없어요’, ‘울고 싶어라’, ‘샴푸의 요정’ 등 수많은 히트곡을 남기며 40년이 넘는 시간 동안 꾸준히 활동해왔다. 국내외 2,000회 이상의 라이브 공연을 펼치며 한국 펑크와 소울의 정수를 보여주었고, 대한민국 연예예술상 연주 보컬 그룹상과 한국대중음악상 공로상을 수상하며 그 가치를 인정받았다. 2023년 MBN 불꽃밴드 출연 이후 제2의 전성기를 맞이한 사랑과 평화는 현재 보컬 이철호, 키보드 이권희, 베이스 박태진, 드럼 정재욱, 기타 이해준으로 구성되어 있다. 여전히 무대 위에서 강렬한 펑키 그루브를 선보이며, 새로운 시대와 함께 호흡한다.
Love and Peace is a legendary name in Korean funk and soul. Debuting in 1978 with their first album, they have released numerous hits, including Jangmi, I Can’t Tell You, I Want to Cry, and Shampoo’s Fairy, while remaining active for over four decades. With more than 2,000 live performances in Korea and abroad, they have showcased the essence of Korean funk and soul, earning recognition through awards such as the Korean Entertainment and Arts Award for Best Vocal Group and the Korean Music Award for Lifetime Achievement. Following their appearance on MBN’s Fire Band in 2023, Love and Peace entered a new golden era. They continue to deliver electrifying funk grooves on stage, moving forward with the times.
