디트로이트 출신의 전자 음악 그룹으로, 테크노, 게토테크, 하우스, 힙합을 넘나들며 강렬한 퍼포먼스를 선보이는 하이테크(HiTech). MC이자 프로듀서인 King Milo, Milf Melly, DJ 47Chops로 구성된 HiTech는 전형적인 ‘보틀 서비스’ 클럽 문화를 뒤엎고, 전자 음악에 다시 원초적인 에너지와 유머, 춤, 그리고 모쉬핏을 불러오는 것을 목표로 한다. HiTech와 DETWAT 두 장의 앨범을 FXHE 레이블에서 발매하며 The Fader 선정 ‘Top 10’, Pitchfork 선정 ‘2023 TOP50 앨범’에 오르며 큰 주목을 받았다. Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, Pink Siifu, Show Me The Body, Crystalmess 등 다양한 아티스트들의 지지를 받으며, Berghain, The Lot, Rinse, The Face’s Rated, Paris Fashion Week 등에서 무대를 선보였다. 도발적이면서도 확고한 개성을 지닌 HiTech는 올여름 다수의 페스티벌에서 다시 한번 존재감을 드러낼 예정이며, HiTech와 Detwat 앨범의 스트리밍 서비스 재발매도 앞두고 있다.

A mix of Ghettotech, house, Rap & Miami base, HiTech are a mission to destroy stereotypical “bottle service” club culture by bringing raw energy, humor, dancing and moshpits back to electronic music. In the process, they’ve become one of the most talked about live acts since their debut. Comprised of MCs/producers King Milo, Milf Melly and DJ 47Chops, HiTech released their albums HiTech & DETWAT on FXHE label, hitting The Fader’s Top 10 and Pitchfork’s Top 50 Albums of 2023 lists, racking up fans including Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, Pink Siifu, Show Me The Body & Crystalmess and playing much lauded shows everywhere including Berghain, The Lot, Rinse, The Face’s Rated and across PFW.
