게이트플라워즈는 보컬 박근홍, 기타 염승식, 베이스 이인산, 드럼 전상진으로 이뤄진 4인조 록밴드다. 2010년 첫 EP [Gate Flowers]를 발표했고 2011년 한국대중음악상 올해의 신인, 최우수 록 노래 부문을 수상했다. 그해 5월에 KBS 밴드 오디션 프로그램 [TOP밴드]에 출연해 대중적 인지도를 얻었다. 2012년 정규 1집 [TIMES]를 발표했고 2014년 EP [늙은 뱀]을 발표했다. 포효하는 보컬, 열정적인 기타, 강렬한 드럼과 묵직한 베이스가 어우러져 얼터너티브, 펑키, 포크, 메탈을 아우르는 거칠고 단단하면서도 섬세한 소리로 록의 본질을 가장 충실하게 재현했다는 평가를 받고 있다. 2023년 현재 새 앨범 준비 중이다.
GATEFLOWERS is a four-member rock band composed of vocalist Park Keunhong, guitarist Yeom Seungshik, drummer Jeon Sangjin and bassist Lee Insan. GATEFLOWERS released first EP "Gate Flowers" in 2010 and won the 2011 K-Pop Music Award for Rookie of the Year and Best Rock Song. In May of that year, GATEFLOWERS appeared on the KBS band audition program [TOP Band] and gained public recognition. GATEFLOWERS released first full-length album [TIMES] in 2012 and an EP [Neulguen Baemn] in 2014. The roaring vocals, passionate guitar, intense drums and heavy bass are combined to reproduce the essence of rock the most faithfully with a rough, hard yet delicate sound that encompasses grunge, funky, folk, and metal. As of 2023, GATEFLOWERS is working on a a new album.
